(Source) A shooter killed a man, then took a trip to a strip club to take his mind off the murder, according to a Riviera Beach Police arrest report. But some strangers giving him a ride home from the club phoned police after he told them he killed someone earlier that day, police said. Police used witness statements and surveillance video to link Rodney Chavers, 41, of Riviera Beach, to the killing of Tarrie Wilder, 42. Chavers was arrested Monday on a second-degree murder charge. The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 500 block of West Fourth Street. An officer in the area said he heard five to seven gunshots. Officers found a man, later identified as Wilder, shot and unconscious. Wilder was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment but died, according to the report. Investigators at the site of the shooting found two 9 mm shell casings. The caller and two other men in the car told police that Chavers, whom they didn’t know, asked them for a ride after getting kicked out of Sugar Daddy’s, an adult cabaret business in West Palm Beach. One of the men agreed. But as they drove back to Riviera Beach, Chavers pulled out a gun, popped the magazine out and put it back in as if he was showing off, one of the men told police. “Mr. Chavers stated that he just shot someone earlier today. Mr. Chavers further explained that a subject punched him in the face and that he shot and killed him for doing so,” a detective wrote in the report, based on the man’s statement.

What the fuck, guys? You’re cool (read: psychotic) enough to give a stranger a ride home from the strip club but you can’t keep a little murder secret? Taking care of a guy who just got thrown out of the booty bar is a brotherhood only found in the absolute best of friends and the second you do it you agree to a blood bond for life. Whatever they say in that state is protected by HIPPA laws, yet you have the gall to call the cops on a shooting? Worst wingmen ever. That’s what the club is for, to forget about your problems: tough day at the office, fight with your wife, shot a guy in the face, all of it. That’s your safe space. It’s the trust tree. Anyone who breaks bro code there deserves a far worse punishment than a murderer.
