In An Unfortunate Turn Of Events, A Man Who Stole a Beer Truck Was Then Run Over By The Beer Truck

WRBL - According to Columbus Police they say early this morning a man stole an 18-wheeler beer truck and then proceeded to be run over by the truck. Investigators say it was parked and running when the driver got out and went into the Circle K on Victory Drive. When the driver came out and saw his truck was gone he called 9-1-1 and officers were able to quickly locate the stolen semi-truck. They say 56-year-old Gregory Miller was driving it. Eventually, police caught up to Miller near the Bojangles at 3264 Victory Drive. However, they say as Miller was trying to get away the truck somehow ran over Miller. Police say the 56-year-old suspect was arrested. However he was first taken to the hospital because of a serious wound and possibly a break to his right leg.

That’s really just a bummer. All Gregory Miller wanted was a truck full of beer. He was trying to do the impossible. Trying to do what we all think about hypothetically. “If I could just get a beer truck I know I’d get away with it”. Well, Gregory Miller went for it. He went balls to the wall and stole a beer truck. Was ready to have the best Thanksgiving of all time. Him, his red neck family deep frying turkeys, probably a death or two from putting that frozen turkey into the deep frier, and a truck full of Coors Light. It doesn’t get much better than that. And then he ran himself over. Just a sad ending to an otherwise beautiful tale of one man who tried to save Thanksgiving. But hopping out of a running 18 wheeler and standing in front of it usually isn’t the best recipe for success. Valiant effort though.
