Rob Lowe And David Spade Told Tommy Boy Stories On James Corden Last Night

James Corden is quickly becoming my favorite late night talk show host.  And not because he’s fat and funny and does those car karaoke things that are really good.  No, it’s because whenever he has someone on who even remotely knew Chris Farley he makes them tell a story about him.  He had Olivia Wilde on last week and had her tell a Farley story. So you just knew when he had Tommy Boy alum Rob Lowe and David Spade the conversation was eventually going to switch into Corden Asking People For Farley Stories mode and it did. This is my one obsession.  The only one. Chris Farley stories. I sleep, I eat, I drink water, I blog, I give my body nutrients all so I can hopefully hear more Chris Farley stories before I die. Farley nervously eating on the plane then “nervously” eating in the car was great. Farley being jealous of Spade getting a drink with Rob Lowe was fantastic. Give me all the Farley stories.

By the way, are we really getting to the point where Spade has to preface a story about Tommy Boy with, “For those of you who don’t know, we did a movie called Tommy Boy”? I really hope not. Sure the movie is 20 years old but if you haven’t seen Tommy Boy you should just kill yourself. It’s the greatest movie of all time. If you are a high school student or older and you haven’t seen Tommy Boy yet go ahead and jump off a bridge. You weren’t raised correctly and are a menace to society. Luckily it sounded like the crowd absolutely knew about the movie.  The day somebody mentions Tommy Boy in front of a live audience and it doesn’t get raucous applause is the day everything has gone to hell.

PS- I checked Tommy Boy’s IMDB page and they’re right. Rob Lowe is nowhere to be found. Pretty weird considering he was one of the main characters of the movie.
