Palm Beach Post - A Delray Beachman, who was ignored by an employee as he allegedly attempted to rob a Dunkin’ Donuts last week at gunpoint, turned himself in and told police that he “wasn’t very good at the robbery thing.” Stewart Charles McNeal is facing a charge of robbery with a firearm and is being held in the Palm Beach County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. McNeal entered the Dunkin’ Donuts at 4800 W. Atlantic Avenue Wednesday around 12:20 p.m. wearing a mask and waited several minutes in line before approaching the counter with a black handgun in his right hand, according to an arrest report. While waiting in line, McNeal told an employee: “Forgive me for what I’m about to do.” After reaching the counter and pulling out the gun, McNeal went unacknowledged by the clerk who attended to another customer. “After several minutes of being unsuccessful,” McNeal walked out of the store and fled in a Honda Accord, the report said. “[McNeal] stated eventually he pulled off the mask and continued to wait for an employee to acknowledge him so that he could rob the store,” according to the arrest report.

That is just the nicest robber of all time. His mother probably cut out the clipping from the newspaper and hung it on the fridge. That’s her boy, always doing the right thing. She probably can’t wait to tell the gals at book club how sweet her baby is. Waited his turn, asked politely for the money, apologized to the employees, everything. Didn’t even interrupt when they were preparing coffee and donuts for other customers. Really great upbringing. Robbing stores isn’t for everyone. Tiger can’t change his stripes. Surprised he didn’t hop over the counter and open up a register so people could get to work faster.
