Apparently People Are Mad Belichick Was The Only Coach Who Didn’t Wear Military Appreciation Clothes This Week?

(My Friend Bill And I Wearing The Don’t Tread On Us Shirt as a clear warning to Roger Goodell.  Stop taking advantage of Americans, the Military and the Patriots or we will strike.)

Here is a fact. Bill Belichick loves and appreciates the military more than any human alive. He has more appreciation for the men who serve this country in his pinky finger than most people have in their entire body. He was raised in Annapolis, Maryland. Belichick’s father worked for 34 years at the U.S. Naval Academy. Belichick is a known military historian. He’s gushed about what it meant to meet soldiers who won medals in combat. He probably does more with work with vets that we don’t know about than the rest of the NFL does combined.  Need more proof? How about the letter Belichick sent Pat Tillman when he left the NFL to serve this country?

“In the last conversation Tillman had with Bauer, he told his agent, “You won’t believe the letter I got from Bill Belichick.” In the letter, Belichick praised him for his courage, his leadership, his willingness to set an example for people in this materialistic society, and he said it was an honor to be in the same league he’d been in.”

So why didn’t he wear the camo like all the other sheep? Simple. Belichick cares more about actions than appearances. This was another silent protest by Belichick. That he will not let that used car salesmen Roger Goodell manipulate the minds of Americans. Roger Goodell cares as much about the military as he does domestic abuse. It’s just the flavor of the month. A way to generate some extra revenue. To pretend they give a fuck. Case in point;

PBS - The United States Department of Defense paid the National Football League more than $5 million in taxpayer money between 2011 to 2014 to honor U.S. soldiers and veterans at games, an investigation revealed this week.Nearly $5.4 million was given to 14 NFL teams across the country, the bulk of which ($5.3 million) was supplied by the National Guard and the rest paid by the Army and Air Force, according to government records obtained by NJ.com. But instead of purely heartfelt salutes to soldiers from hometown football teams, the halftime segments were reportedly part of paid promotions under federal advertising contracts for the military. Earlier this week, U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) called out the spending as an “egregious and unnecessary waste of taxpayer dollars.”“Those of us go to sporting events and see them honoring the heroes; you get a good feeling in your heart,” Sen. Flake told NJ.com. “Then to find out they’re doing it because they’re compensated for it, it leaves you underwhelmed. It seems a little unseemly.”

That’s what Belichick is silently taking a stand against. Hypocrisy. Roger Goodell pretending that he cares. Belichick is saying I support the military because I love the military not because I’m getting paid to do it so Roger Goodell can cash another paycheck.
