Fight Night at the McDonald's Drive Thru
Fox 5 – A fight in a McDonald’s drive-through in northeast Minneapolis has both the store manager and a customer calling themselves victims. But video shot by a witness shows police the person they say is clearly at fault. Through cell phone video shot by a person waiting in line at the McDonald’s on Stinson Boulevard, you can see the store manager, 22-year-old Bernard Robinson III, fighting with a customer for more than a minute with his necktie gripped in the man’s hand. But there’s a lot more that happened before and after anyone hit record. Robinson’s family said the customer got angry when it took too long for the cashier previously working the window to make change for a $100 bill, plus some of the cash was dropped on the ground. “He got very angry, started hitting me in the face, and I was kinda knocked out,” Feshir told Fox 9. “I tried to hold onto his tie just for self-defense I guess.” Once the tie was loose, witnesses said round two of the fight continued with both men in the parking lot. Police arrived and said Fesher smelled like alcohol, and was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
When it comes to taking sides here, I find them both guilty of being retards.
In one corner you have McDonald’s manager landing haymakers on a customer. As a semi-regular customer of McD’s, that’s nothing something I like to see. Bro, you serve me food, don’t forget that. I’m not saying I’m better than you, but in that moment where you are in the McDonald’s serving me my food, I’m better than you.
In the other corner you have the customer getting his ass beat like a fucking chump. Hey man, that guy has the higher ground and is beating the hell out of the top of your head, maybe let go of his tie? Without a doubt the dumbest thing ever, just grabbing the manager’s neck tie and allowing him to pummel the hell out of his skull.
And two more things- if you get out of your car in a drive thru, I hate you. That kills the entire concept of the drive thru. The confusing part here is what made the McDonald’s employee angry that he started throwing punches. I have to blame the customer in that spot. Even if his change for his $100 bill dropped on the ground, that’s his fault for paying with a $100 bill at a McDonald’s to begin with. I’ve never heard of such a move in my life.
But at the same time, as a counter-point, if I rolled up to a drive-thru and the fucking GED dropped my cash all over the pavement, I’d be pissed as fuck. You have 2 jobs- hand me my food, and hand me my change.
So that’s why I can’t reach a verdict in who I blame here. I think the only solution is to have them fight it out. Bare knuckle brawl until one person is crowned King of the Drive Thru. If they choose not to, they both lose and both should be sentenced to 10-15 year in lockup.
