Holy shit. This story grew steadily today while we were all watching football, and now it’s exploding. Seems like a done deal. Max is 39-8 over the last two seasons. 2013 Cy Young winner. Would join an already explosive Nats rotation with the likes of Stephen Strasburg and Jordan Zimmermann. This team is built to win and win now. A 7 year deal is crazy, but that seems to be the thing to do so it’s hard to fault them. This is a HUGE signing. Anything less than a World Series truly is a bust now.
