Ryan Kerrigan Just Had Surgery On His Broken Hand And Expects To Play Next Week, You Gotta Like That

It’s pretty impressive how these guys do it. Break their hands, have surgery, don’t miss a game. The Skins are fortunate they are on a bye week, but still, pretty badass to just put the thing in a cast and play with one hand.

Meanwhile, the injuries continue for the Skins with Bashaud Breeland, easily the Skins best corner, out for what appears to be some time with a bad hammy. He injured it making the game-saving tackle last week vs the Bucs. The Skins should get Chris Culliver back after the bye, but losing Breeland is a big blow to the already light secondary.

The Skins upcoming schedule is an interesting one:

Obviously Pats on the road with them on a long week isn’t the easiest game on the docket. The Saints are beatable, and then @ Carolina is another tough one. So let’s say the Skins lose 2 of their next 3. That puts them at 4-6. But then the tides turn. The next 6 after that are all winnable games. Giants at home is winnable. Cowboys at home, definitely winnable. The Bears stink, the Bills have stunk big time, we already beat the Eagles once and things are only getting worse in Philly, and then @ Dallas to end the year. All winnable games.

We’ve seen the Skins take the Falcons to OT on the road, already beat the Eagles, and come back from 24 down vs the Bucs. They’ve been playing all year without DeSean and didn’t have Reed for a couple games as well. Their secondary has been completely shot all year with DHall, Culliver, and now Breeland hurt, as well as playing back ups at the safety position. If they can put it all together, the NFC East is still up for grabs. You can’t tell me the Giants are that good. They kinda suck. The Eagles kinda suck. And the Cowboys, haha, yea, they suck. The Skins are on the upside of average (huuuuuuuuge compliment) and those last 6 games are very winnable. May I say this season still could be really interesting? 7 combined wins over the last 2 seasons…and a chance at a winning season this year. You gotta like that.
