Come Get Some, Kansas City!

Never been happier to see an umpire call a ball 36 inches off the plate a strike than I was during that Revere at bat in the 9th. I wanted no part of that Blue Jays lineup. I have confidence in this Mets team over anybody right now, but I think they absolutely, 100% should beat the Kansas City Royals. Obviously back to back World Series appearances is nothing to turn your nose up at. The proof is in the pudding. But the way this Mets team is playing and the way their rotation is firing I have no doubt in my mind the Mets are winning this series. Everyone calls the Royals “scrappy” and “gutty” and they “find a way” and “grind it out” and all sorts of other adjectives and euphemisms for a team that really just isnt that impressive. Their only major strength is their bullpen which is fine by me. In the middle to late innings its just gonna be one of the Mets aces handing the ball to Familia with a lead. By the time that pen is in action it won’t really matter. Plus I’m just waiting for Yost Ball to lose a game for the Royals. That guy absolutely sucks.

Bottom line, the Mets have a major edge in starting pitching, a more powerful and potent lineup, and the best closer in baseball anchoring it all come the 8th and 9th inning. This is the time for the New York Mets. They’re going to win the World Series.
