In A Weird Way Clayton Kershaw’s Performance Last Night Highlighted What A Post Season Bum He Is

Finally we got regular season Kershaw last night vs. the Mets. We got the guy that pundits like to say is the greatest pitcher of the last decade. A guy who completely and totally shut down the Mets. A guy who you had the feeling that once the Dodgers scored the game was over. Other than the HR by Murphy I can’t even remember a ball that was hit hard. I don’t think the Mets had a runner reach 2nd base. It was by far the most dominating pitching performance of the playoffs. It also proved the point I’ve been saying for years now. Clayton Kershaw is a playoff bust and you can’t consider him the best pitcher in baseball when he always comes up small in big moment. Last night is how he should be almost every single time he takes the mound in the post season. If you score 2 runs or more you win every single time. The fact he was 1-6 heading into last night is bananas. Don’t give me the “he pitched good enough to win in Game 1” or he’s had bad luck or any shit like that. He’s Clayton Kershaw! Last night should be the norm not the exception to the rule. Listen I like Kershaw. I like the crew he rolls with. It’s not too late for him to turn around his legacy. But he needs 5-10 more starts in the post season exactly like last night before I’ll ever call him the best pitcher in baseball and anybody who says differently is jumping the gun.
