Last Night's Buzzer Beating Lob Pass Tip-In Dagger Was Just The Latest Way The Wizards Have Won

I couldn’t even call last night’s buzzer beater the most exciting win of the season because it wasn’t even the most exciting win of the week. That of course goes to the 2OT win over the Celts a few days back. But last night’s win was pretty special too. They entered the 4th down 8 to the Magic, and then held Orlando to just 14 points in the final frame while battling back. Just another ho hum 21-11 game by John Wall. And then of course we got to see the Andre Miller lob to Bradley Beal to seal the deal. Great job protecting the rim by Orlando, good effort. Love Buck’s DAGGERRRRRRR call. It’s never not awesome.

Whether it’s beating the Nuggets by 30 or squeaking by the Magic, this team finds ways to win. They are now 15-6 despite injuries to Brad Beal, Nene, and not even having Martell Webster in the lineup at all. When he’s back, he’s just another piece to add to the puzzle. This is the deepest bench in the East. Somehow Rasual Butler, the last player to make the team, is lighting it up off the bench. He’s hitting over 52% of his 3’s and playing shut down defense. Signing Humphries has paid off in spades as well, and Otto Porter continues to develop and get better.

Right now we have a Wizards team at 15-6, the Caps riding a 3 game winning streak, and Maryland basketball is ranked in the top 25. But best of all, the Redskins only have 3 more games left this season.
