Trea blasted that baby into the sprawling empty outfield seats at Turner Field. Number one of many in his major league career. Can’t believe we got the 22 year old, 2014 13th overall pick from the Padres in a 3-team trade by only giving up Steven Souza and Travis Ott. The Nats somehow, unbelievably also got stud starting pitcher Joe Ross in that trade. If things pan out it could go down as the most lopsided trade in recent history. Trea is a STUD. They tried to keep him in the minors but you can only dominate each level the way he did before you have to be called up. In 185 minor league games he hit a combined .322 with 52 stolen bases and a modest 13 HRs…8 of which came in just 116 games between AA and AAA in 2015. Which means he’s only getting stronger and developing into a power hitter. He can still get better at fielding, as most 22 year old short stops do. But for now, the ceiling has never been higher for Trea. He ran the second fastest 90 feet home-to-first this year, only behind the Reds speed demon Billy Hamilton, making Trea the fastest white person in the league. T squared is going to be a special player. Yea they aren’t making the playoffs, but not all is bad is Natsville.
