Player on George Mason Hit an Insane 75 Foot Shot To Win The Game Last Night

CBS - Might this be the most unlikely game-winning, buzzer-beating ending we see in college basketball for the entire season? The sheer difficulty combined with the luck factor of the shot is punctuated by the fact George Mason was down by eight points with 80 seconds to go in the game against Manhattan, a team that made the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Yet GMU managed to pull a win out of its backside Saturday evening after this unreal — seriously, we get a winning shot at this distance maybe once a season — 3-pointer from inside the opposite 3-point arc fell true at the horn. It came after the Patriots‘ Patrick Holloway downed a 3-pointer with three seconds remaining. GMU fouled almost immediately, put Manhattan’s Shane Richards on the charity stripe, but he missed the second shot. Jalen Jenkins got the board, took a dribble, two steps, and threw up the prayer. Cash. Patriots win 64-63.

For GMU, this is going to be the highlight of their season. Not the worst highlight though. They sure are missing Larranaga. Coach L is down in Miami ripping and tearing up the ACC and GMU has fallen to the wayside in the A10. Hell of a shot though from that kid. Nothing but net from 75 feet, just the way they drew it up.
