Obligatory Monday Morning "The Redskins Lost" Blog
Hey, the Redskins lost! Kept it close in San Fran, but come on, they weren’t going to shock us again. There are no good takeaways from yesterday’s game besides the defense who played well and Alfred Morris who ran the ball really well. Dude was explosive. But besides that, it was same ol’, same ol’. Bad play calling, terrible offensive line, and an RG3 on his last leg, no pun intended but sort of intended. The o-line was so bad in pass blocking that it is hard to properly evaluate RG3’s performance completely, but he was bad. Held the ball too long, as always. Didn’t make good reads. And he’s just slow. He’s SLOW. He came into the league running a 4.4, he runs like Peyton Manning now. Just not the guy he once was.
So that’s done. It’s actually insane how indifferent I am at this point. Real talk: yesterday was the first time I didn’t sit at home and watch the game. I didn’t revolve my life around it. Wasn’t going to let the Redskins suckage ruin my Thanksgiving Week. It’s such a great week full of family, friends, and food. And beer. So I went out and had a grand ol’ Sunday. Saw Fred Davis get in a fist fight at the bar. His shirt was torn off and him and his crew were trying to fight the other people in the street. Fred fucking Davis, man. From top tier tight end to getting in fights and thrown out of bars.
As shit happens during the week I’ll have more on this team, I’m sure. Because shit will happen, as it always does. I don’t think RG3 gets benched, I think Gruden allows him to play himself out of the starting job for next season. But you never know.
Regardless, happy Thanksgiving Week!
