Bethesda University Is About To Embark on the Most Insane Basketball Schedule Ever Devised by Man

Beginning tonight, the Bethesda University men's basketball team has five games in the next four days across Hawaii, Utah and California. Two of them are happening at the same time. None of it is a typo.

From what I can gather, it seems the National Christian College Athletic Association school has 32 players on its roster and apparently plays split squad games like it's spring training. So while half the team is living it up in Honolulu for the Outrigger Rainbow Classic this weekend, the B squad has to play at Southern Utah and at Pepperdine on back-to-back nights with a 470-mile drive in-between. You have to really love basketball to stay on a team that puts you on an eight-hour bus ride from Utah to California while the rest of your boys are in Hawaii.

The Lion Angels have lost their first four games of the season by a combined 180 points. Of their 29 games this season, 27 are on the road or at a neutral site. At least the fine folks at Bethesda are taking the guys to Hawaii and Malibu for a little bit while they collect some checks to get their teeth kicked in by Division I teams.

If Bethesda can just get through this stretch and make it to its first home game on December 16, I think it can go on a run. Do not let the Lion Angels get hot.
