BACK: Dianna Russini Reportedly Returning "Next Week" To Work The NFL Trade Deadline With A New Digital Interview Show And Dave Portnoy Revealed If It Will Be At Barstool SPORTS

Welcome back to another update from the Russini Rabbit Hol! Can't remember if this is the 6th or 9th blog about it, but looks like some clarity on her employment status is finally coming SOON. In fact PFT is reporting that Dianna plans to emerge from the shadows as soon as next week and slide right back into the media mix. Sounds like that crisis publicist she hired a month ago has been working overtime and then some. Patriots fans... hold on to yer butts!

(SOURCE) -  The halfway point of the 2026 NFL season arrives this weekend. Next week, Dianna Russini apparently will return to sports media. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Russini has begun getting the word out to people in the league that she’ll be returning to work “next week.” It’s unclear where she’ll be working, or what she’ll be doing… If she’ll be reporting again, she’ll need to restore her own credibility. Especially given the unique set of facts that resulted in her departure from The Athletic.

Pretty savvy timing by her to come back right when the NFL trade deadline is gonna go down… Clever girl. Wonder if she'll have any inside knowledge on a possible Vikings trade for Jonathan Taylor? Or has the KOC bridge been burned too?

Or maybe there's some big news coming around a possible Patriots trade? Or is that bridge definitely burned to cum covered ashes already? Allegedly.

The only thing known for sure right now is she will NOT be spreading the news here at Barstool SPORTS, per our fearless honest leader Dave Portnoy. And thank GOD that is the case brother.

Of course I was fully prepared for her to become my coworker knowing how demented this place & The Internet can be. Would've been a hilarious moment in the anals of history for sure. But I ain't mad about it! According to the rumors it WILL be some kind of digital talkshow though. Sounds like a very original groundbreaking idea.

Again, no hard feelings her way regardless. I'm just trying to play the Scoop City game just like her. I'm sure she'd be welcomed back here with open arms if she wants to run through another round of Barstool Feud. Tune in next week to find out!

PS: no offense to Patriots fans but saw this hypothetical matchup and thought it was pretty interesting. Food for thought.
