Baker Mayfield Didn't Complete A Pass On Sunday, But He Did Get Into The Action With Jessie Bates

Baker Mayfield is still recovering from a broken thumb on his throwing hand. He was wearing a special glove and only threw it 11 times (4 completions) last week against Carolina. On Sunday, it was a torrential downpour in Tampa for almost the entire game. To the point where Mayfield took his specialized glove off of his hand because it was too hard to get the snap and grip the football.

And while he accomplished something that hadn't been done in 50 years yesterday in winning a game with zero completions, he did get into the action with this awesome block on Falcons Safety Jessie Bates III.

THAT'S MY QUARTERBACK!!! Baker is a DAWG! Love to see this out of him and Bucs are firmly back in the playoff conversation and are now 2-0 against the NFC South. Next up: The Chicago Bears.
