The Internet Invitational Has Delivered Unbelievable Drama And Theatrics And We're Only Through Day One
Spoilers ahead obviously.
The Internet Invitational at this point is not only the biggest internet golf tournament, but it's in the discussion for biggest golf tournaments overall. I don't say that just because it's hosted by us. Think about it, the 4 Majors, the Ryder Cup (which isn't every year), The President's Cup (which isn't every year), The FedEx Playoff, and The Player's Championship is what you mark your calendars around for golf. Those other tournaments - BMW Classic or American Express tournaments, etc etc - they can provide some fun moments, and some drama, but only true true Golf diehards are locked in.
Also, players take tournaments off, sometimes a ton of players take tournament weekends off, and if there's weather they move the schedule. January and February are run by football - so they are lost in the shuffle, March for college hoops, and most of the summer is lost to barbecues, pools, vacations etc. There's very few mark your calendar moments in golf.
The Internet Invitational has become a MASSIVE tournament. Reminder- 4 Million Dollar Prize for the winners - $1.3 million each. That's nothing to sniff at. Also, when you factor in the people playing. This is LIFE ALTERING MONEY. We have The Duke fighting for this money folks... THE DUKE!
That's maybe my favorite part of all of this, is that it's Youtube Golf guys and girls - who are very good at golf- guys like Grant Horvat, Sabrina Andolpho, Brad Dalke, Paige Spiranac, and Malosi Togisala.
Mixed in with people like Johnny Manziel, Justin Gaethje, Andrew Santino, and Jon Gruden, who could be paired with all time entertainers like The Duke, Robby Berger, Jersey Jerry, Trent, The Nelk guys. It's truly a one of kind tournament that mixes good golfers, along with celebs, along with complete wild cards -which brings together THE perfect mix of drama, content, and competition never seen before. It's literally perfect, - look no further than last year's finish when it all came down to Frankie Borelli with a chip of a lifetime in front of Dave Portnoy, who's plain existence can rattle him.

Perfection.
Anyway, here's a speed round of some great stuff over the first two episodes to have you dial in before Episode 3. Obviously Spoilers ahead.
The Prize
We talked about it before - 4 Million Dollars is INSANE. Truthfully insane.
The Format
Teams of the 64 golfers are divided into 4 teams of 16, where they go Scramble and then alt shot.

Another guy looking to avoid 2025 drama. Well done buddy.
Kevin Kisner Has Been A Vibe The Entire Tournament

Kisner's been hilarious. Every time they pan to him he's chopping it up between rulings, usually with a cold one in hand, laughing, breaking balls, smiling - he's been a perfect addition to this year's edition.
Day 2 Had Some Drama, And Bobby Ray May Hate His Own Team
What a turn of events, Bobby Ray thrown to the side by his own team, and then of course, Gruden steals the show with another pump up speech.

Jerry And Trent vs Duke and Salim Is The Greatest/Worst Golf Hole Of All Time
So fucking perfect. Literally just the funniest hole of all time. Could not stop laughing that these 4 maniacs just butchering shots over and over and over and over again. Absolutely perfect.

Find you a tournament where these matches all mean the same in points.
And of course ….
THE PUTT OF ALL PUTTS IN A PLAYOFF HOLE
BIG JOHN GOLFS …. ALL HEART … BIG VIVA GUY
Just fucking unreal moment. An absolutely PERFECT ending to the day. When you factor in how much pressure was on that putt, for a regular golfer, and that young of a kid - just fucking unreal. Absolutely unreal. What a tournament and we're just getting started.
