Bryce Harper Jumps Into The Comment Section On TikTok, Says There Will Be No Season This Year And That He Prefers The Offseason

Bryce Harper signed with the Phillies almost 8 years ago at this point. He finally led the Phils back to the postseason, and had one of the most dominant runs in 2022. He was a hero in Philly. He was elite at pandering to the Philly fans, he obliterated baseballs, and always managed to step up in the biggest moments.

That's not exactly the case anymore. Patience is starting to wear thin in Philly after 4 more seasons of disappointment. It's no longer "haha that Bryce Harper is so whacky! That's our guy!". We're a few years beyond the time for jokes. It's time to either figure out a way to get the job done, or this group be remembered as one of the most disappointing eras in Philly sports history. It's definitely not the time to start firing off in the comments on TikTok about preferring the offseason to the regular season.

If there's one thing that is going to get you in the doghouse with fans of sports everywhere, it's making $300 million to play a sport and then agree that you prefer the offseason. Even if it's meant to be sarcastic. I know there are going to be people out there who have an issue with how hard it seems Bryce Harper is pushing for a lockout. But I'm actually with him on that one. We need a break from the Phillies after the last few years. Distance makes the heart grow fonder. Give us a year without the Phillies and maybe we'll find that spark again in 2028. But as far as liking the offseason more than the actual season? Brother….just put the phone down. You don't need to have that comment on your resume for everyone to use as ammo the next time the Phillies limp out of the postseason.
