The NFL's Fix To Its Ref Problem - Reportedly Flexing The Group From The Lions/Packers Disaster From This Week's SNF Game To The Pats/Dolphins

Hubbs blogged this on Sunday, obviously as a Packers fan. But anyone with eyes could see the problem. Those refs were so goddamn bad that everyone watching the game was in hell. Then again, welcome to the NFL. There's a ref problem through and through this league

Now back to last week's disaster. That group is being 'punished' by reportedly being flexed out of this week's SNF game

[Source] - Via Football Zebras, Alex Moore’s crew has been moved from Eagles-Commanders to Patriots-Dolphins. Shawn Hochuli’s crew will work the Sunday night game.

The report, citing unnamed officiating sources, says that the change is “more about optics rather than a disciplinary action.”

The optics-driven reason is simple. Moving Moore’s crew out of prime time, and relegating them to a secondary 4:25 p.m. ET broadcast on CBS, avoids Mike Tirico and/or Cris Collinsworth mentioning the rough day the crew had in Detroit.

Yeah, that'll show all the fans! Who cares about holding these guys accountable for completely flipping games with bad calls and instead just hiding them on the shitty 4:25 game? No offense to Pats fans, but no one wants to watch a Dolphins game. Dolphins fans don't even want to watch a Dolphins game. Here's what I want though. I want the announcers of that game to not hold back. Oh, you're giving us the shitty ref crew and think we won't bring it up? Bring it up every call. Question everything. Show replays of the ref being a little bitch throwing a flag because he got knocked down

It's been talked about all the time, but these guys need to be full time. They need more practice and more help basically. There's way too much influence on calls. Look at that report about how Goodell (lying) thinks it's a good product right now. Some of it teams being dumb with delay of games and false starts. But it's the constant 3rd down pass interference call because the quarterback underthrows it. It's the roughing the passer that gives new life because a large man can't land any other way. It's all the shit that just stops any flow to the game and ruins the product.

But, sure, for optics, let's hide them instead. Kind of hilarious how this is the best idea they had and everyone is catching onto it. I'm sure it'll be fine in that Pats/Dolphins game.
