The Bears Are Reportedly Close To A Deal To Keep The Team In Illinois

Everything coming up Bears today.

There were rumors that Roger Goodell essentially dropped his dick and said that the Bears couldn't move to Indiana. Warren rumored to be sidelined in the entire process. And now it sounds like it's at least possible again for the pride and joy of Illinois will be staying put.

I really hope that the deal gets done and that there's actually some traction to the proposed Bridgeport site. WSD neighborhood argument aside, it does sound like the people of Bridgeport are going to get fucked by the train depot site moving there with the Sox moving to the 78th. If the acreage works, having the Bears play at 35th feels like it'd be a win for everyone. Right next to the highway. Dropped off via the red line.

If they can figure out the parking and the Bears can own the stadium that feels like the best possible solution. Then just go full circle and rebuild Arlington Racetrack. Everyone wins.
