The Internet Raised Over $120,000 For Red Baron Employee Who Was Harassed By a Douchebag Streamer

I have a hard time even watching that video. I couldn't even do it start to finish. I had to skip around and watch in 10-second spurts. Apparently, there are people who actually enjoy that style of content, but anything involving strangers (even watching people make prank calls) is hard for me to stomach. It's too awkward. I feel bad for the person on the other end. I just want it to be over as fast as possible.

Prank calls are whatever. Those are harmless enough. These streamers who harass people in public though... they're so bad. Since starting at Barstool, I've been introduced to the term "nuisance streamer". It's a great word for what they do. Perfectly self-explanatory. Some yeast infection of a person goes out in public and films himself making other people's lives worse. Being terrible and unlikable is the entire business model. I don't even think they want to be liked by their own followers. They build the whole plane out of hate views. It's a miserable existence that could only be enjoyed by a sociopath, or somebody so impossibly incompetent that they wouldn't know how to make a living any other way.

The existence of these streamers is something we should all be more cognizant of. I've never been accosted by one in real life, but it could happen to any of us. We should be aware that if it does... and we really, really rip them a new asshole... and be sure to include something in our meltdown about how we're "just regular ol' guys trying to get by", we too could have internet strangers wire large sums of money to our bank accounts.

I'm not saying that's what this Red Baron gentleman was thinking. That's why he made $120K. Because his meltdown was as genuine as it gets. That's kind of the Catch-22 of the whole thing. If you're faking it, people will see right through you. But honestly, if someone were filming me while I worked a 9-5, I don't think it'd be hard to muster up some authentic emotions. I bet I could get myself to tears. Then maybe I get to embellishing – "I have TWELVE KIDS at home!!! We live in a BOX!!! They're addicted to CRACK!!! I give blow jobs for FOOD STAMPS!!! And I SWALLOW!!!! So I don't have to waste the food stamps on MYSELF!!! THAT'S RIGHT!!! I live off a diet of CUM!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHERE DOES THE MONEY FROM THIS JOB GO??!!?! MY KIDS ARE ON CRACK!!! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?!!!

Really lay it on thick. I dare you, nuisance streamers. I dare you to stick a camera in my face when I'm no longer at Barstool and organizing the shoe wall at Foot Locker. Fuck... that probably will happen someday, won't it? Yeah, I guess that's a pretty good fallback plan. Get fired. Work a sad job in a mall. Be accosted by a 14-year-old streamer with the crispiest broccoli-top fade you've ever seen. Start a sad GoFundMe about it.

Anyways, I'm happy the Red Baron employee ended up making some money off his misfortune. Fuck that kid. I'm very glad that of all the articles and videos I've seen about this guy, not once have I learned the name or username of the streamer who filmed it. I'd call that a happy ending.
