"I'm A Big Diaper Changing Guy" -- Tyrese Maxey Is A Superstar On The Court, But Proves He's An Even Better Father At Home

The "I take pride in the speed that I'm able to change a diaper, and keep her from crying" is how you know that Tyrese Maxey is really about this life. A parent that isn't constantly changing diapers just wouldn't get it. But every time your child pisses or shits into that diaper, you are treating it like you're on a NASCAR pit crew. You know it's a race against the clock, and your biggest competition is yesterday's you. The feeling you get when you wrap up the smoothest and quickest diaper change possible? Where you are on and off that changing table before the baby even has a chance to know what's going on? It doesn't get better than that.

Tyrese Maxey is one of the best basketball players on the planet. He is a superstar in the NBA, and he's making over $200 million to play the game. But I can guarantee you that when he's with his daughter, none of that matters to him. Because in those moments, he is his daughter's father. In those moments when he's changing a diaper, I'm sure that he is just as locked in on changing it quickly as he would be to hit a couple of 3's like this late in a game vs the Pacers.

It has to feel pretty great to be clutch down the stretch like that for your team. But it also feels great to be clutch when your kid is crying, so you go warm up a bottle of formula and have your child start to fall asleep right there in your arms while you're feeding them. Getting up early to go to the gym to make sure you beat LeBron in there is one of the biggest reasons why Tyrese Maxey is the player that he is today. But getting up early to change another diaper and rock your baby back to sleep at 2am is why Tyrese Maxey will have so much more to look forward to after his playing career is over.

Tyrese Maxey gets it. And anybody who has been following along with his career wouldn't be surprised by that in the slightest. He's just an incredible human being who is so easy to root for. He's energetic, he has an infectious personality, he's humble, he works hard, and he shows up when it matters the most. All of that is both on and off the court. This guy deserves everything.
