We Got Our First Look At What This Year's 76-Team NCAA Tournament Bracket Will Look Like And It's Simply Disgusting, Hideous And So Damn Stupid

You know I almost wanted to forget that this year is the 76-team Tournament. I've been pissed about it since they decided to destroy this event by letting this many teams in. Now we're seeing what the bracket will look like. You know this used to be the most sacred paper you would ever hold. Once a year you'd print it out, handwrite your picks and the use a highlighter to grade what was right and wrong. Simpler times when someone was carrying around a massive binder with all your friends picks. If you know, you know. 

Look at that top row! Those are all the play-in games. I don't want to hear 'but think about the games on Tuesday and Wednesday? You don't want more basketball?' It's not more basketball! It's more 'NCAA Tournament' basketball even though it's really not. It's taking away from regular season games that matter. It's taking away from conference tournament games that feel like play-ins. You see how perfect that piece of paper looks with, oh I don't know, 64? Yeah we had it. That's the Tournament right there.

Not only is this incredibly stupid and just a way to get more average teams in from power conferences, it's going to lead to even more fighting. There's basically two cutlines now. The first being in the field of 64 and the 'bye.' Then the ones who make the 'tournament' by being a play-in team. Yeah, that seems like something we should be adding to a committee that already makes enough bad decisions. 

There was no one who wanted this. Every single fan was screaming if anything cut it back to 64. Instead they don't care about us, they just want a way for more money or for coaches to justify a good season or how they can get more money for NIL because they were a tournament team! It's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. That top row of a bracket should never take up the whole page.
