Pat McAfee Is Being Accused Of Being "Charmin Soft" After Claiming He Felt SO Uncomfortable At The University Of Utah He Thought An Assassination Like Charlie Kirk Was Coming, All Thanks To A Short Clip Where Students Playfully Called Him "Corny"
I know it might be a little taboo to cover a former Barstool SPORTS employee & current rival in the college football gameday space, but this story is simply too absurd to ignore. To quickly recap, Pat McAfee & ESPN did their show at the University of Utah on Saturday and it seemed like a great time out there. Until McAfee kept trashing the entire fanbase and gleefully saying how excited he was to NEVER come back. Certainly some weird vibes to verbalize for a place that seemed to be extremely accommodating to them all week.
Now here's the video in question that made McAfee lose his marbles. Apparently this was posted to the official school instagram account too which makes these vicious insults & violent threats all the more insidious. Harrowing stuff really, viewer discretion IS advised…
Wait a second… Not so fast my friends… There MUST be more to that video right? RIGHT? No fuckin' way that 30 seconds was what made McAfee actively fear for his life on campus. Oh the horror! Oh the humanity! And best believe CUZZOOOO doubled down on those spineless claims when he hopped on his show yesterday. Gotta admire the way he seamlessly weaves Charlie Kirk's assassination into the conversation too. That's why they pay him the big bucks baby!

Maybe I gotta get my ears checked out but can't recall hearing any students call him "creepy" in that clip either. Aside from the corny callout, all I heard was "we love you Pat but…". Whole thing seems like quite the overreaction.

Now maybe McAfee's DMs were full of vitriol & hate and that turned up the temperature a bit. But NONE of this situation required a full on PR apology from Utah. The whole thing is so fuckin' Charmin soft. Typical ESPN cowardice.
Shameful stuff for a guy who allegedly built his entire brand around copying everything Dave Portnoy did including our website code being a silly ball bustin' sonofagun. Kinda seems like a gigantic pussy from watching this all play out on the skycam. And keep in mind I'm saying that with ALL due respect Cuzzo. But hey what do I know, I'm just a lowly smut blogger. Let's see what other champions of the CFB industry have to say about it. Just for the sake of fairness.

Fascinating stuff. Best of luck to McAfee being a brave boy the rest of the season with all those haters constantly surrounding him. I'm just thankful I don't have to work for a narcissistic prick who constantly rips his shirt off for a cheap laugh. The dude I work for only goes shirtless when there's some free weights laying around. That's what a real alpha male jackhammer looks like.
