The Eagles Need To Make A Mandatory Rule That Nobody Is Ever Allowed To Date A Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Ever Again

Cooper DeJean is currently having the worst season of his NFL career.

Now contextually speaking, that was probably always going to be the case this year. Cooper DeJean won a Super Bowl as a rookie in 2024, where he had a pick 6 in said Super Bowl. In 2025, he was named a First-Team All-Pro cornerback. 2 years in the NFL and it really doesn't get much better than that. ESPECIALLY not for a white corner.

So the likelihood of Cooper DeJean having the worst season of his career this year was very high. Maybe he'd only be a Second-Team All-Pro and the Eagles would lose in the divisional round. That would still be a "down year" for him. But nobody could have expected it to look like this.

Over the past couple of years, Cooper DeJean has turned into a bit of a celebrity. He's seemingly at every major sporting event, he's at WrestleMania, he has endorsements, he's all over the place. There are rumors some folks in the know who seem to see Cooper DeJean out enjoying the night life a little too frequently. Personally I don't care if my All-Pro cornerback becomes a massive celebrity. I don't care if my All-Pro cornerback likes to party from time to time, and that time is all the time. All I care about is that he knows his body, he gets himself into playing shape for Sunday/Monday/Thursday/whatever other day the NFL wants to play, and doesn't do anything that jeopardizes his ability to do his job.

Something like, let's just say, dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Everybody knew this had disaster written all over it from the jump. I mean we see this happen all the goddamn time in politics. You get a country like China sending over a bunch of hot chicks to honeypot high level politicians and people in the tech world, and then they take all of our secrets. You don't think that Jerry Jones is in control of absolutely everything that goes on within the Dallas Cowboys organization? You don't think that Jerry Jones would operate to the same degree as communist China?

It's just far too "coincidental" for Cooper DeJean to be playing this poorly this season right after he starts dating a Cowboys cheerleader. Maybe he's handing over his playbook and she's scanning it with special contacts that upload images directly to Jerry Jones' office. But what if the Cowboys just sent her to zap Cooper DeJean of all of his powers? What if she sucked the skill right out of his body? Pause. Not what I meant. Cooper DeJean was going to be one of the faces of this Eagles defense for the next 5-10 years, and now he looks borderline unplayable.

And it's a shame because he still doesn't have that next contract. Cooper DeJean has cost himself millions and millions already, and there are still 10 more weeks of the season. Glass half full says that's 10 more weeks to prove he's worth what everybody thought he'd be signing for this offseason. But it's starting to look like the whole team is quitting. You have Jalen Carter and Riq Woolen just dipping out after the game and not speaking to the media.

I haven't seen any proof of life from Vic Fangio in a while. The offense is down to their 6th string running back, a backup quarterback, and Makai Lemon as WR1. The defense was perfectly summed up by Wade Phillips last night.

The whole thing is a mess. It's only going to get worse before it gets better for the Eagles right now. And that is terrible news for Cooper DeJean's bank account.

Let's just put the rule in place right now. No more dating Cowboys cheerleaders. Maybe it'll work, maybe not. But as long as we have that rule in place, we'll never have to worry about it again.
