Angel Reese Chokes AGAIN In The WNBA Finals, This Time Only Scoring 7 Points To Go Down 3-2 (With Zendaya In Attendance Rooting Against Her)
Let's keep this short & sweet shall we? Another day, another excruciating loss added to Angel Reese's legacy. Everyone in the media was ready to crown her ass Finals MVP after Games 2 & 3, but that's why they play a 7 game series. She was feeling herself so much being up (2-1) that she repeatedly gave Golden State the "TOO SMALL" taunt as seen above.
Except now two games later, the Atlanta Dream are down (3-2) and facing elimination this Thursday at high noon. Although to be fair, it was a ROUGH start for both teams out there. Anything is possibleeee! Just not in a good way.
But the real story here? Angel scored 1 less point than Game 4, for a grand total of 7 tonight. Only eight shot attempts overall. NBD but KBD when it's the most pivotal game of your career thus far. The very definition of shrinking in the moment & failing when the lights are brightest. No offense. You hate to see it.

Tough scenes all around if you're an Atlanta fan or an ardent defender of The Bayou Barbie. No way to spin the last two games other than a pure absolute unequivocal choke job. Of course she still has Game 6 and a potential Game 7 to recover her legacy. Maybe she goes Miami LeBron on everyones ass and puts on a clinic the rest of the way. The only trouble there is that the game is being broadcast on the SyFy channel at 12:30pm on a Thursday. If a MeBound falls in a forest but there's no one there to see it… Did it really happen?
"That celebration may not actually be on that court. I've heard there are discussions about whether there's enough time to turn the arena over in time for the fans to celebrate on the court. It could be moved to a practice court"

Good job, GOOD effort Cathy Engelbert! She's been on a helluva run this year not giving a single solitary fuck about doing her job correctly. Impressive, most impressive. Hopefully the Valkyries close this thing out so the league doesn't get off the hook after pooping out this absolutely fucked up plan for Game 6.
Credit where its due though, gonna be fuckin' cinema watching Angel blow a (2-1) lead after SyFy leads off with a rerun of 'Farscape'. Hell yeah Ben Browder, get those residuals. PS: at least Zendaya looked like she has fun in Ballhalla! Nice to see her representing Oakland, too bad she didn't bring Spider-Man with her though. Probably a Liberty fan.
