Hilariously Bad: The WNBA Has Announced That Game 6 Of The Finals Is Going To Be Held At 12:30 PM ET On Thursday

Listen, the WNBA really is the definition of shooting yourself in the foot. In case you live under a rock, they haven't had a time or location for Game 6 of the FINALS (!) because the Atlanta Dream home arena is too small, and the Hawks arena in Atlanta has a back-to-back scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday. With Game 5 happening tonight, there was a scramble to figure out where and when they are gonna play this damn thing. With the series tied at 2-2, feels like it's kind of important for you to figure those things out well before a few days before the game, but I digress.

The golden solution is to play a close-out finals game for whatever team wins tonight at 12:30 PM EASTERN TIME on a THURSDAY AFTERNOON?! The Valkyries are a west coast team, which means if you want to potentially watch your team win a championship (or stay alive for a Game 7 at home), you've gotta tune in at the crisp time of 9:30 AM. Nice job, WNBA!

I know a lot of people are talking about other arenas, but to be honest, there isn't really much option in Atlanta. They have a 13,000 seat arena in Duluth that has a concert that night, and then all the college arenas still only fit around 8,000 compared to the 16,000 that you get at State Farm. I think the only brain solution is to give the teams more extra rest, play Friday night when there's nothing scheduled, then move the Game 7 on Halloween to Tuesday. That was apparently the other option they were exploring, that they didn't end up going with for who knows what reason.

Regardless, Angel Reese is two wins away from becoming a WNBA champion, and we need it for the sake of social media discourse. Go Angel, go!
