We Live In A World Where Kentucky Is 7-1, Winning The SEC, Has The Coach Of The Year And Is Still The Most Underrated Team In College Football

We live in a world where Kentucky football is leading the SEC right now. This isn't a week 1 thing either. It's going to be Halloween and Kentucky is on top of the standings. But, for some reason, people still aren't believing it. All I hear is how Kentucky is overrated because we lost game in the second half to Alabama. Or it's just the fact that we're Kentucky and people don't want to acknowledge a new program has emerged.

Point:

No one is out here saying that those other teams don't deserve to be talked about. There's not 'yeah, buts' when it comes to those teams. But for Kentucky it is. I'm even watching Mostly Sports and just heard Brandon Walker say that Kentucky shouldn't be talking like a top-5 team in the country. Why? Up to this point in the season, Kentucky has looked the part of a top-5 team in the country. The stats and analytics say we're a top-5 team in the country.

Kentucky is also the only team in the country who beats a team and then everyone assumes that team stinks. No one is saying that about South Carolina after beating Tennessee. No one is saying that about LSU. People are still picking LSU to win out. Must be a bad team then.

And this is all due to Will Stein. Yeah, the players are making plays. But it's this dude and Joe Sloan turning this offense into beautiful things like this

That's a backup quarterback coming in and scoring that touchdown by the way. Now, if you don't want to talk about Will Stein, fine. Kenny Minchey has 1 interception the entire year while making numerous game-winning plays. CJ Baxter has been an unbelievable running back. Kenny Darby is a stud freshman receiver. Willie Rodriguez might be the best tight end in the country. Then there's the line. I'll allow a man who knows line play talk for me:

Not on those clips is Lance Heard, a future 1st round pick and projected All-American. So where's the weakness besides just being Kentucky and history? Obviously 4 games to go. Not easy. Tennessee, Florida, Mizzou and Louisville. You get 3 of them it's an automatic spot in the playoffs. You get 2 and you're still alive because everyone is going to be 9-3.

The fact is everything has changed with Kentucky. We expect to win games. Commonwealth is as awesome it gets now

All I see is that Will Stein is going to leave. This is a man who comes from Kentucky. A man who bleeds blue. His dad played here. He dreamt of being at Kentucky. Now I'm just starting to think that people want him to leave because they are scared of Kentucky. Most underrated team in the country and it's not even close at this point.
