The Softest Ref on the Planet Threw a Flag After He Ran Straight Into a Wisconsin Coach

This is pitiful stuff. Wisconsin's defense mad a big play and sacked Jayden Maiava to force what would have been a 3rd and 18, but an official got his feelings hurt because he bumped into a Wisconsin coach and the 3rd and 18 became a first down. USC went on to score a touchdown on the drive.

Sure, the coach is technically too close to the sideline and allowed this whole ordeal to take place. But this has to be a warning in a situation like that. You have to be a special kind of self-important asshole to throw a flag there and alter the course of the game.

We have an officiating epidemic in this sport and nobody in charge wants to do anything about it. Sad stuff.
