"It Happens" Angel Reese Choked Away ANOTHER Game In The WNBA Finals (8 Points & 6 Turnovers) Just Days After Talking Trash About How She Had "The Mental Edge & Leverage" Over The Valkyries
Sincere apologies for not being able to do any recaps after Games 2 & 3 of these WNBA Finals. Unfortunately my internet was broken during that stretch and I couldn't report on those results. Such a shame too, because apparently Angel Reese had some impressive stat lines along with (2) big wins. Nice to know my Game 1 blog helped motivate greatness out of her. That's what all the real ballers do when staring down the barrel of adversity on the wood. Touché.
But it seems that Barbie daydream came crashing back to reality in todays pivotal Game 4. And after spending a few days talking trash about the weakness of Valkyrie players & fans, Angel got served a warm thick slice of humble pie. Turns out... They *can* fuck with her.

She said she wants to… "take their confidence and do whatever to mess them up. You can see it in their emotions and facial expressions. A lot of us are looking at that, making sure we can find any little thing to give us that edge and have our leverage over them…It’s just looking at those small things that can give us more of an edge.”

Good job, GOOD effort! Salute to Golden State for figuring out a defensive gameplan so incredibly decisive. Love the moxy of their coach too. She gets it. Extremely easy to root for.
(SOURCE) - Natalie Nakase wanted her Golden State Valkyries ready for a hostile arena. She ended up playing the sounds of a battlefield. At a September practice, Nakase called for music as her team started a scrimmage. Instead of Adele, Rihanna or Taylor Swift from her usual playlist, the speakers at the Valkyries’ training facility blared machine guns and bombs.
Center Kiah Stokes told ESPN she could not believe what she was hearing. “All of a sudden, it’s the noise of machine guns and bombs,” Stokes said. “I’m like, ‘This is not happening. She’s literally playing war music.’ That was new.” The idea came from Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla, who did the same at his NBA training camp earlier that month. Nakase said she thought it was “genius.”She wanted her players used to loud, hostile playoff environments, and Stokes said it forced her to speak louder and communicate better. Nakase also wanted a mindset. “We’re here to win or die,” Nakase told ESPN
That A+ coaching is even more impressive, and very much needed, when considering the free throw differential so far in this series too. Certainly feels like the fix is in and The W is trying everything they can to just gift Angel Reese a title. Shameless stuff really. Simply no other way to explain a disparaging difference like this though. At least Tim Donaghy was subtle about it.

Either way, no doubt that Game 5 on Monday night is gonna be a helluva time at the ballpark. Either the Valks go up (3-2) at home or Angel Reese will sit (1) win away from basketball immortality. What more do you want in a thrilling SPORT? Hopefully The Bayou Barbie doesn't let that west coast time get to her. Definitely gonna need a higher energy effort than this from her next game in Golden State.

But hey, congrats to Angel for making All-WNBA 2nd team! See? This coverage is nothing personal. There's no hard feelings here.
Credit where it's due, quite the trophy case she's putting together out there. If only that quote about us watching women's basketball because of her too could fit inside too. Probably gotta crack the Top 10 for ratings first though. No offense!
