This Might Be The Worst Roughing The Passer Penalty In The History Of The Sport

Michigan was a dog today, rightfully so with Tommy Carr making his first start vs the defending champs and a really good defense. And Carr’s early turnovers have certainly not helped the Wolverines bid to an upset. 

Credit to them- Michigan’s defense is doing everything it can to keep it in the game. But they can only withstand so much. The defender here basically breathed on the guy and they call roughing the passer? Ooof - That’s like inexcusably bad. The kid did nothing wrong. Literally nothing and he pays the price for 15 anyway. That’s bad. You have to be able to make a play on a guy legally and not worry about a flag. If this kid doesn’t put his hands up and he turns to run and scrambles away he’s getting lit up on tape Monday. Now he has the body control to disrupt a pass but not make a stupid play and you flag him anyway? Shame on you refs. That’s BADDDDD.
