Sydney Sweeney & Margaret Qualley Rumored To Be Top Options For Next 007 Bond Girl And Judging From Their Recent Cheeky Photoshoots, Uhh YES!

Giphy Images.Sounds like the new cast for Denis Villeneuve's James Bond reboot is just around the corner. Rumors have been swirling this week that the 007 search is now down to 4 actors, with screen tests happening throughout the weekend. Exciting stuff for sure, even if I'm not totally convinced Amazon was the right landing spot for that legendary franchise. Still can't believe the Broccoli family gave it up. The world is not enough.
(Highly recommend watching the documentary 'EVERYTHING OR NOTHING: THE UNTOLD STORY OF 007' for some A+ background on how the franchise all luckily came together)
Here's a great breakdown from Hubbs about those double-OH actor options… We'll get into the potential (.)(.) leading ladies after that.
Too bad my guy Jack O'Connell isn't in the mix anymore, he would've been great. But I wouldn't be upset if Jack Lowden is the pick. All the random clips of him I've seen from 'Slow Horses' have been highly entertaining. Also apparently that's one of the best shows on TV? And they just constantly pump out seasons? Plus Gary Oldman crudely farts a lot? Sure why not. I'll give it a shot.
(SOURCE) - 'Slow Horses' star Jack Lowden is the favorite heading into the home stretch at 62% chance, 'Masters of the Air' star Callum Turner is a bit behind with 25%, Disclosure Day star Josh O’Connor is at 13%, followed by Richard Madden 11%, Jacob Elordi 7%, and Jack O’Connell 8%.
Callum & O'Connor are just a little too British for my liking, plus already way too well known to quietly immerse themselves like Daniel Craig. He was basically a low level indie actor when he got cast. Not unlike Pierce Brosnan either who was more of a TV star at the time with 'Remington Steele'. So the math does check out in Lowden's favor. BUT I DIGRESS… Let's get into these leading ladies
'The Substance' star Margaret Qualley at 33%, with 'Euphoria' star Sydney Sweeney & 'Furiosa' star Anya Taylor-Joy at 25%. Next comes Florence Pugh 17%, Zendaya 13%, Lauren Sánchez 5% and Kate Winslet 4%. Several others names have around 3% odds, including Margot Robbie & Scarlett Johansson.
Now obviously seeing Sydney Sweeney the top of that list makes plenty of sense. She would fit that bombastic role perfectly, plus is super cozy with Jeff Bezos & his wife Lauren Sanchez. Also laugh-out-loud funny that she might somehow end up in that movie. But hopefully Syd does get the call, because she's got loads of vintage Hollywood beauty that could benefit a 1960s vibe. Or any era really. She was born to walk into Montenegro in slow motion on the silver screen.

With all their experience making the 'Dune' trilogy together, could see Florence Pugh & Zendaya teaming up with Denis again. Although feels like they'd be better served as a villain than a damsel in distress. Maybe I'm wrong there.
But if they want someone who can do BOTH, my pick would be Margaret Qualley. And I'm not just saying that because her mom Andie McDowell was my 1st crush. Shout out 'Groundhog Day'. Although if you've seen 'The Substance', you know just how seamlessly her daughter can ride either side of the spectrum. Sweet to psycho in SECONDS. Happy 32nd birthday Marge!

Midas whale hire Margaret AND Sydney together though. That'd really be cooking with white gas. Throw in a 3rd like Dua Lipa or Mika LaFuente for good measure. After all, the amount of pressure on this movie is gonna be insanely high. But a bevy of new Bond girls could easily solve all their problems at once. More the merrier I say.

Also they need to get way more gadgets back in the mix. The super seriousness of Daniel Craig's era has certainly wiped the slate clean from Austin Powers' satire influence. Speaking of which… Why not throw 60 year old Elizabeth Hurley in the mix as the ultimate master manipulato seducing James Bond? Just run back the 'Bedazzled' script but make it for spies. I see the vision. Get it done Denis! We believe in you.
