ARRESTED – Anthony Richardson Has Been Arrested For The Heinous Crime of... Misdemeanor Marijuana Possession

It always makes me laugh to see a headline about an athlete arrested with marijuana. I sometimes forget that it can even happen. I can't remember the last time I've been scared having weed on me. But marijuana is still fully illegal in the state of Indiana. And it's still illegal to smoke while driving everywhere. I think. Unless one of those states out west got real crazy about stimulating the economy.

A misdemeanor for possession of marijuana is also such small potatoes for an NFL player. Well... it should be. Anthony Richardson Sr. might actually be one of the few players who truly can't afford it on his resume. This is certainly not the time in his career that he wants to be arrested with it. It's as bad for him as it is for the Colts organization. As a Colts fan, I was holding out some hope that we might still be able to get a tackling dummy for him in a trade. But even without NFL GMs knowing he's a no-good, dirty, rotten weed smoker, it wasn't looking great. The Colts made a whole big announcement this offseason that Anthony Richardson was given permission to seek a trade.

From there, I don't think I heard a single rumor about a single bite. He's big, fast, and athletic enough that if he were less injury-prone, someone should be able to find use for him. Unfortunately, Anthony Richardson is made of glass. Glass might even be too generous. Anthony Richardson's body is made of the hardened sugar they use to make that fake breakaway glass for wrestling matches. Quarterback is the only position he's physically able to play for more than a few consecutive quarters without snapping something in half.

If only Anthony Richardson had panned out, that Carmel, Indiana police officer might have let it slide. That has to be such a blow to his ego. Anthony Richardson went from the supposed savior of the Colts franchise to being unable to talk his way out of holding a few grams of pot to an Indianapolis-area cop. How the mighty have fallen. But hey, at least he's back at practice. Give 'em hell out there, AR. I'm still rooting for you.
