A JMU Football Fan Broke The Golden Rule And Promised To Eat Dogshit If They Lost To App State (Spoiler Alert: They Lost To App State)
Cory Knowlton. Shutterstock Images.Life is pretty simple guys. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Work hard. Pay your taxes. And whatever the fuck you do, do NOT tweet out that you'll eat dogshit if your football team loses a game.
You're just asking for your team to be cursed at that point. We already saw this happen with the infamous 321nole Twitter account, for fuck's sake.
Florida State was coming off a 13-1 season heading into 2024, and this jackass 321nole tweeted that he would eat dogshit out of a red Solo cup if the Seminoles lost their home opener against Boston College. Sure enough, they did lose 28-13. And people outright HATED 321nole. But instead of facing the music and eating the shit as he promised, he chose to deactivate his entire Twitter account and hide from the mob.
The Seminoles went on to have a 2-10 season and they simply haven't been the same since.
Well last night, a JMU fan did the exact same thing that 321nole did. He, too, posted that he would eat dogshit if JMU were to lose to App State, which is totally insane. We've already seen this move backfire SEVERELY. Why run it back? Do these kids have no knowledge of our American history? Have they not learned from their forefathers' mistakes??
JMU wound up losing the game in overtime, despite being double-digit favorites that were riding an 18-game regular season win streak into this one. And naturally, the Twitter world rushed to the jabroni who put out the dogshit tweet.
Much like 321nole, he wound up not being able to handle the backlash, and he deleted his Twitter account, as a whole. Absolutely shameful.

It isn't hard, guys. It isn't hard to just not post a dogshit promise tweet. There's no reason for you to do that. There's zero upside. I might have to start a D.A.R.E. program to train kids on how to say no to the dogshit tweets. I think it could be really effective.
Regardless, I extend my apologies to all the other James Madison fans. I extend my apologies, specifically, to my dear friend Evan Bosanko (who was celebrating his BIRTHDAY last night by watching the Dukes lose). I feel terrible that the random guy on Twitter did this to you.
And I hope your football team is able to overcome thia.
