LeBron Practicing His Golf Swing During The National Anthem Is Actually The Best Way To Respect America. Find A New Slant
What is the American Dream? What is this all about? I want you to legitimately answer that question for me.
Or how about I just answer it for you. The American Dream is to become so successful one day that you can just go fuck off and doing nothing but play golf all day. That's what everybody wants. No work, no stressing about finances, just golf. To be able to wake up in the morning, get a nice breakfast in your belly, grab your clubs, head to the golf course, and get out there for a round of 18 without having to wait on the first tee box.
The Star-Spangled Banner is meant to inspire hope and patriotism in the American way of life. It is meant to fill you with an immense pride in your country, and all that comes with it. The "American Dream" is quintessential to what it means to be American. It is that unbridled optimism and striving for greatness that makes America so unique. When Lebron James hears the Star-Spangled Banner, it reminds him of that dream. And it reminds him that he needs to load those hips, transfer his weight, shallow out that club, and lead with the hands.
There are plenty of people out there shitting on LeBron for "disrespecting" America by not standing perfectly still during the National Anthem. But what is more American that striving to be the least shitty amateur golfer you can possibly be? Nothing. Nothing at all.
God Bless America. God Bless 21 handicaps. And God Bless LeBron James.
