No Fun Alert! Lime E-Bike Company Tells It's Customers "Bikes Are Not For Jousting"

UPI News -  E-bike rental company Lime responded to a viral video filmed in a London park by specifying that the company's electric bicycles are "not for jousting."

The video, which was posted to social media during the weekend, shows artist Jack Carden and actor Camtholomew the First dressing in suits of armor and jousting with lances while riding bright green Lime e-bikes.

A Lime spokesperson released a statement to media outlets warning against attempts to recreate the stunt.

"While we appreciate the medieval spirit, safety must always come first," the statement said. "Lime bikes are designed for getting around the city, not for jousting."

BOO!!!

Look I get that brands need to up-hear to safety and there's a ton of bike accidents and in no way should you ever belittle those or make light of etc. But we grew up in a world where people do dumb shit and we laugh. Rolling chairs down a hill, sock em boppers being a hit selling toy, Stone Cold Stunner'ing people in the school yard for hours on end, and of course ... Jackass.

I mean this skit from Jackass is almost this social post to a tee. We grew up on this shit, if people can't go on bikes and joust, what's the world coming to. Complain about politics, fight about rooms, watch a tv program, go knock each other off a BMX bike at full speed, we all have our hobbies, we all have ways to make us laugh.

Also, no disrespect to Lime, but I wouldn't know your bike company from a hole in the wall, so maybe embrace the press in any way shape or form instead of shutting down people's fun. But hey what do I know?
