Anthony Davis Had A Spectacular Wizards Debut And Then Had An All-Time Quote About The Crowd, Saying That Last Season Was Like "Dress Like A Seat Night"

Listen, I love the new look Wizards. We didn't get to see rookie sensation AJ Dybantsa hit the floor, but it didn't matter because the Wizards ended up 1-0 with a win over the Bucks. Anthony Davis looked spectacular and reminded people why he's still an elite player. But nothing may have been better than his quote after the game about the Wizards crowd.

And look, I don't know any Wizards fans that aren't named Barstool Nate. I don't even know if they really exist. They've been so mediocre for so long that it feels like there's been absolutely no hope for this team before this season. I don't think they're a championship contender, but by god, we're going to see a Wizards playoff series this season and there's nothing you can do about it.

So your franchise guy says your crowd is like "dress like a seat night". That means you've gotta show up in waves to support while the going is good. And he's not wrong, the Wizards finished second to last in the league last season in average attendance behind the Grizzlies. Nobody goes to those games. But a quick look shows that ticket prices have increased, and by hook or crook, we may be seeing a relatively full Capital One Arena this season.

Go Wizards go!
