BREAKING: The NFLPA Is Calling For A FULL Investigation Into The Jalen Hurts Blood Clot Saga And NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Just Said "We Welcome That"
#NFLPA statement on #JalenHurts “The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”
Maybe this all ends up as a big nothing burger... But there's certainly a chance that an investigation led by the NFLPA instead of the NFL could dig up some pretty nasty realities about how this Jalen Hurts blood clot situation was handled. So far it sounds like everything was above board and there's been NO disagreements between Jalen & team doctors. Just don't tell that to Mad Dog. He's been sniffing up a tin foil storm on this one.

Although that blurb from the NFL wasn't exactly the prognosis I saw whilst scrolling through Twitter this week. Generally when there's confusing injury smoke, a five alarm fire awaits right behind the door. This dude did a great recap that sorted out some of the possibly misleading information being tweeted out there in the meantime though.
And now NFL commissioner Roger Goodell just came out this afternoon with a direct reply to that NFLPA request. Wonder if they'll recommend using the same "independent" investigator from Deflategate for this? Good times! Sidenote, Mike Kensil is STILL a bitch.

Will be pretty damn interesting to see how this all plays out. Either way can't imagine we'll see Jalen play again this season. Apparently you gotta avoid contact sports for at least 3 months if you're on blood thinners. Hopefully he's able to figure out a solution for 2027 and doesn't end up as a NFL Chris Bosh. Definitely would be a bummer if digging into this mess discovers some sordid details about those team doctors and/or front office peer pressure.
Not accusing anyone of anything… But I've seen 'Playmakers'. I've seen 'Any Given Sunday'. I know how this story goes. Allegedly.
On a positive note, it has been cool to see former Philly players rallying to Jalen's defense in the media. Even old frenemies like that disgruntled ol' bastard AJ Brown have stepped up! Some things really are bigger than sports.

Also loved this clapback from Terrell Owens to NFL "analyst" Michael Robinson. Heavy emphasis on the anal portion of that esteemed title. What a humongous loser trying to force feed that thoughtless take.

Giphy Images. That's my WR1! Not sure if/when Michael will be on the air again but he better do that apology on there too. What a fuckin' week for the NFL though. They really do need to make 'Playmakers' S2 ASAP. Those new storylines literally write themselves, for better or worse. Usually worse though.
