Congratulations to the New York Knicks for not only getting their championship rings last night but also making me sad I'm not as rich as Portnoy for the first time in my life. Sure I've always wanted to have more 0's in my bank account like the Boss Man. But I've always been fine not being comically rich until I realized I will never be able to own one of those rings and have it consume my soul until I turn into a real life version of Gollum.

I don't even care about all the diamonds, sapphires, and carats in the ring because that stuff means less than nothing to my dumb brain. After a full summer of rewatching every highlight, fan edit, and commercial from the championship, I just want to relive that run of Basketball Nirvana in a different way by looking at all the numbers of the guys that delivered the ring, discover every Easter Egg nodding at a different part of the title, and of course pop out the little mini version of the greatest arena on the planet complete with the iconic roof.

Unfortunately, cosplaying as a member of the 2025-26 World Champion Knicks will require a cool $20,000, which I don't have unless I want to get divorced, which will then result in me losing literally half of everything I own in court to my wife (potentially including the ring, which would devastate me even more than losing my kids immesely).

On the bright side, they are offering a paperweight that falls much closer to the price range of a professional idiot on the internet.

I guess I'll just hold off to see what Temu and DHGate offer considering bootlegs of all things Knicks was the premier cottage industry over this summer.
