Welcome To The Harbaugh Era: Najee Harris Complained About The Giants 4-Running Back Committee, Gets Cut By The Team 2 Days Later

The Giants had one of the more frustrating running back situations on Sunday. John Harbaugh benched Cam Skattebo because of fumbles. He then tried to say he didn't bench him because of that. That was a lie. We all know Cam had 0 touches because of the fumble against the Commanders. Then there was no rushing (until JJ did it himself) and they were trying Najee Harris, Devin Singletary and Tyrone Tracy. That's how you get a box score that looks like this:

Again, I would have simply used the best running back, but whatever. That's what led to Harris saying it's frustrating, hard to get into a rhythm all that stuff. So what happens now?

This is the John Harbaugh era, I guess. I mean look, I like having Harbaugh here. We've won games that never would have happened with the long list of dumb coaches before him. But you also gotta deal with this stuff. You gotta deal with him trying to be the authority figure and punish players like Cam Skattebo. Now, I think it makes sense to get Skattebo a ton of touches this week. You simply have to play your best players.

I don't think this was like Najee Harris was ever going to save the Giants run game either. The other running backs have looked better. Plus, you might need more wide receiver help since Darnell Mooney is banged up. Don't know what the hell happened to the wide receiver group but thank God for Nabers and Likely. Beat the Texans and none of this matters. We control our own destiny for the playoffs. That's NFC East football, baby.
