You Should Be Forced To Retire On The Spot For This Soccer Penalty Kick
I've never dreamed about playing soccer because I'm a man who plays real sports like lacrosse and pickleball. But I have to imagine that this is what it has to feel like to play soccer in a dream. Where your body just completely malfunctions on you, you take the worst shot in the history of humanity, and you wake up in a panic because you think your coach is about to lose his goddamn mind on you.
And this fella did it in real life. In an actual game between Club Sando and Mount Pleasant. I've been a Club Sando fan my whole life. Turkey, chicken, roast beef, you name it. I love a good club sandwich. So for me personally, it was great to see this dipshit on Mt Pleasant fail to make it a 2-0 game with this penalty kick.
I believe buddy was attempting to "aura farm" here, if I'm using that correctly. Well this is exactly what happens in a world that cares more about getting a sick clip for social media than actually winning a game. This is where "clip" culture in sports is going. A bunch of nonsensical bullshit all in the hopes of ending up in a highlight reel. There used to be a time when coaches could break a clipboard over their players' heads for trying something like this. But that's just not the world we live in these days. The world is too soft these days and lacks any real consequences. Club Sando tied the game about 20 minutes later, and I'm sure this guy got nothing but a stern little talking to after the match. Bring back old school maniac coaches.
