Made Me Laugh – This Girl Get SMOKED By a Hilariously Placed Mall Swing
Ha. I don't know why every tweet I can find with this video is captioned as if this girl was just run over by a semi-truck in a devastating traffic accident. "Brutally strikes", "violently fell", "SHOCKING MOMENT".
On my algorithm, this video was sandwiched between a Chinese fitness instructor falling off a skyscraper (to his death), and a man being flung from a roller coaster at Six Flags (to his death). I know we're all in it for the clicks, but "Mexican girl hit by swing" should fall squarely in the humor section. This one should have been grouped with the cute or, almost certainly AI videos of dogs meeting possums.
Fun Fact: Possums don't get rabies. Or they very rarely do. So if you see a possum in the wild, feel free to pick it up and make it your pet. Nothing can go wrong.
Anyways, that's an awesome mall swing you've got there, Mexico. It's honestly perfect. It's fun to swing on, and it must make for at least one semi-hilarious accident per day. Part of me thinks that video was staged, but for one thing, if it were, that girl is a hell of an actress. She didn't brace herself at all. Secondly, with the way that swing is set up, this genuinely must happen pretty often. There's no way this is the first time an ignorant mall walker with negative situational awareness has wandered into its path. Someone finally just had the good sense to post up and keep the camera rolling.
Whatever you do, Mexican mall, don't put up any cones. Don't put up any ropes or warning signs. The world needs more things in public places that could knock you on your ass if you're not paying attention. That's one of the many problems with society these days. Everybody is walking around with their heads in their phones, instead of paying attention to the world around them.
Personally, I think New York City should put some of those big Jackass hands at random street corners.
They can strike at any time (if you're not paying attention). The only warning will be a little person standing at the intersection. If you're walking around the city with your headphones in, scrolling Instagram, bumping into strangers, and you don't notice the wee man with his hand up at the corner of 23rd & 7th – BAM! What happens to Bam happens to you. Maybe you'll keep your eyes forward next time. Get on that, Zohran.
I do kind of feel bad for Mexican swing girl. She was just eating ice cream. I mean, you should still be paying attention, but at least she didn't have her head buried in her phone. Had she been on her phone, it would have been all the more deserved. And significantly more satisfying.
