Of Course The Best NFL Game Of The Day Came Down To Refs Ending It With A Call That Made No Damn Sense

I have no idea how this isn't a first down. I've watched it a million times, I've seen the still shots. I've searched trying to find something besides 'no way the refs would admit how wrong they were on the spot' and that's all I see when it comes to the call here. Now, JSN dropping the pass before this was the dagger. But, it's still so fitting that the best game of the day, two of the best teams, and all people are talking about are refs 

Again, turnovers, drops, weird game, all that stuff. But to end like this? That's some bullshit. When everyone (outside of 49ers fans) think this is a first down, it's probably a first down. And if it's not. Well, make these assholes do press conferences. I'm not talking about a pool report. I'm talking about a real press conference. Refs impact the game as much as anyone else out there and people freak out if a player doesn't answer long enough. Make the refs do the same. I want a full report on why this wasn't a first down, not 'well we called him short. Not enough evidence to overturn it.' That's not good enough in these sort of games. 

This is just peak NFL though. This is having an incredible game with 2 teams that are Super Bowl contenders end with everyone bitching about refs. That's where we are this year, because officiating is worse somehow this year than ever before. Make them do press conferences and let us see overtime. I wanted a second tie of the day.
