The Weirdest Trade Is Finally Done: DeMeco Ryans Walked Off His Press Conference By Announcing The Texans Traded For Marvin Harrison Jr.
A day ago we had the report that the Cardinals were finalizing a deal to trade for Marvin Harrison. However, no one knew what team. It was one of the more insane things I've seen in reports. I know we live in a world where everyone has to get a scoop and be first. No one actually cares though. We all find out a minute later if you miss the original tweet. But here we are.
So today the Texans got the gift of playing the Titans and maybe DeMeco Ryans was feeling himself. Left the press conference with this walk off
Yeah man, we wanted to know because the trade being out there was weird. It made no sense to have a graphic that Marvin Harrison was getting traded but no one knew to who or when. It was like the Cardinals had a deal, wanted to wait to see if they got a better deal.
That said, I want every trade to be announced like this. We don't need scoops. Let the coach randomly say it in a press conference. That's way more fun. It's for sure way more entertaining to do it that way. I don't need a graphic or a scoop. I want a coach just being like 'yeah, we gotta clean up the penalties. 1-0 this week, all that matters. Oh we traded for a potential bust but also a guy that might just need to play with CJ Stroud.' Perfect.
Either way, the weirdest trade saga or day is finally over. We found a new way to announce trades, counting that as a win.
