You'll Never Find A More Disgusting Way To Lose A Football Game Than Nick Sirianni And The Philadelphia Eagles Just Came Up With In London

I don't even know what you're supposed to say about that.

I mean…pathetic doesn't really encapsulate it. Realistically, this team isn't good enough that they should have had a chance to win this game in the first place. So if anything, they were overachieving with 11 seconds left.

Disappointing doesn't do the trick either because anyone who has watched this football team knows that something like this has a chance of happening to the Eagles every single week. If there's one team in the NFL you can expect to find the most cruel and inhumane way to lose a football game every week, it's the Eagles.

I guess incompetence is really the word here. For the first time since week 2, the Philadelphia Eagles finally put points up on the board in the 2nd half of a game. The first time in 3 weeks, and it took until there were 11 seconds left in the 4th quarter for the Eagles to take the lead here.

Obviously it would have been nice if the Eagles were able to run down the clock and have this be a proper walk-off for Jake Elliott. But you figured 11 seconds would be enough….for literally any other team in football.

But not the Philadelphia Eagles, led by head coach Nick Sirianni. The Jaguars had zero timeouts left and 11 seconds to work with. All Nick Sirianni had to do was make sure that Jake Elliott knew that ball had to be kicked out of the end zone. Make Jacksonville start back in their own territory, and come up with an immaculate 65-yard play for a game winning touchdown. But no. Nick Sirianni didn't know the situation. He clearly didn't know that Jacksonville was out of timeouts. He doesn't call plays on offense. He doesn't call plays on defense. Literally his only job is to know the situation, and he failed to do that. So what happens next?

Jacksonville returns the kickoff to the 40, and then follows it up with a walk-off field goal from 57.

Again, the offense was truly abysmal in the 2nd half up until that final drive. But the Eagles are playing with a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers on offensive line, Dameon Pierce was RB1 by the end of the game, Dontayvion Wicks and Darius Cooper are your 2 best receivers. Like this team should have never been in a position to be winning with 11 seconds left in the first place.

But they were. And their dumbass dipshit head coach wasn't smart enough to figure out how to make sure they could just get out of there 11 seconds later with a win. There were missed opportunities on offense. There were missed opportunities on defense. Despite everything, the Eagles had a lead with 11 seconds left. You kick that ball through the end zone and it's game over. Nick Sirianni should have to swim home, and then pack his shit.

What a disgusting way to lose a football game.
