A CRAZY No-Call at the End of the Game Gave Georgia a Massive Win at Alabama
Well that's just pass interference. How in the world does nobody throw a flag there? That's just as bad as the Rams-Saints no-call.
That play was second down from the Georgia 34-yard line with 3:28 to go and Alabama down a field goal. Obviously there's no guarantee the Tide would have won if this penalty was called, but you have to imagine they would have at least gotten the three points they needed to tie the game. Instead, Keelon Russell was sacked on a blitz on third down and Bama was forced to punt. It never got the ball back.
I wish this awesome game didn't have something like this marring the result, but I also will not ever cry for an officiating decision going against Alabama. Them's the breaks, boys.
And the Tide might have gotten one more shot at the end of the game, but Dijon Lee gave Georgia a first down with a moronic personal foul that allowed the Dawgs to run out the clock.
Great win for UGA, which will be No. 1 in the country tomorrow.
