Old Dominion Coach Ricky Rahne Really Got After It Following a 10-3 Win in the Rain Over Appalachian State

Schools spend million of dollars on recruiting staff, visits and all sorts of other stuff in an attempt to woo prospective players. All you really need is a coach who can go win a tough road game and then rip his shirt off and slide down a muddy hill with the boys. That video is better recruiting material than Old Dominion could ever buy.

App State students spent much of a low-scoring afternoon making the most of the monsoon the Mountaineers and ODU were playing through by sliding down a muddy hill behind one of the end zones. When the Monarchs came out on top 10-3, Ricky Rahne and his team got a little dirty before heading home.

This is what Group of Six football is about: a slopfest played in a monsoon with a shirtless head coach going head-first down a mud hill after a road win. Dudes rock.
