True Love: Brad Underwood Knew He Had To Recruit David Mirkovic When He Watched Tape And Realized 'He's Was A Fat. He Was A Fat Guy That Played In The Post'

I fully admit I have a soft spot for Brad Underwood and honestly Illinois. I always liked watching them play. The 2005 team should have won a national championship. Underwood just coaches his ass off. He's a guy that I want a beer with and just talk ball. But now we know the key to his heart. Be a fat European that plays in the post. Remember, this is the guy he's talking about: 

He was a key part of that Final Four team last year. He also became everyone's favorite player during that run because he was hilarious. Now, Underwood is talking about how grew into his game and became a hell of a player. But calling someone 'a fat' is fucking perfect. It's true though. I mean Jokic was called fat once and look at him. Maybe the key is to be a little hefty and know how to play ball. Then you become a superstar in the college game. 

I love it. Mirkovic is coming back from a foot injury, hopefully back early in the season. It just goes to show you, being a fat who can play ball gets you places. It's the best compliment Brad Underwood can give him. Now we need Underwood in the Balkan gear again. It's only right after last year's run.
