Fire The Boys Up: WVU's Defensive Coordinator Goes On A Hilarious Rant About How He Has The 'Worst Defense In College Football'

I love everything about this. We hear the same old coach speak all the time. Same boring answers, no real stuff coming from press conferences, whatever. Not when WVU's DC is on the mic. I mean that question had nothing to do with how bad his defense is. But that won't stop him from saying they fucking stink out loud. He's not wrong. They are terrible. But it's also WVU football. I don't want them to have a good defense. I want them to be flying around on offense and have guys like Pat White, Steve Slaton, Noel Devine, Tavon Austin and all those sorts of guys. West Virginia should be in the top-5 teams, maybe even higher, in terms of fun. 

Now, that said, this guy is too good looking to be a defensive coordinator. Defensive coordinators need to be a little fat, for sure grizzled and probably have a double decker going in the mouth. Zac Alley has the look of an offensive coordinator. Offensive coordinators are the young guys, tan and looking to score 40 a game. Make of that as you will, but you know it's 100% true. 

You just gave up 45 to Iowa State in a loss. What do you want him to say? We played good. I'll make some changes? No. You fire them up and get the reverse jinx started. You tell everyone we have the worst defense in the country. It's a perfect rant from the guy who simply doesn't look like a defensive coordinator. Shout out Morgantown, elite college town.
